What do EP, HP and CARGO on the bottom right stand for?
    Client (Underwater map)

    Question:

What do EP, HP and CARGO on the bottom right stand for?

    Answer:

EP stands for experience points. There are two EP values that are shown. The one on the left indicates how many experience points you currently have and the one of the right shows how many you need to have to level up.

HP stands for hit points and indicates the strength of your sub hull. If this number drops to zero, it means your sub is destroyed.

CARGO shows how much cargo you have on board in your cargo bay. The value on the right-hand side shows the cargo bay capacity which varies from sub to sub. The value on the left-hand side shows how many items are currently on board the sub in the cargo bay.

    Question:

What are those symbols shown at the bottom of the screen in the middle?

    Answer:

The symbols at the bottom of the screen represent your sub’s weapon system. These symbols make it possible for you to fire your weapons and change your ammunition type while maneuvering underwater. You can also use the “hot keys” to change or fire your weapons.

Items available (from left to right):
Sonic cannons, torpedoes, depth charges, naval mines and decoys (to defend against tor****es)

    Answer:

Your account info (in-game name, password, profile picture, etc.) can be changed on the account homepage. You can also change your fraction here.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

How can I navigate with my sub?

    Answer:

Use the mouse to navigate your sub through the water by clicking on the map with the left mouse button. If you hold down the mouse button, your sub will continue to navigate in this direction until you release the button.
You can also click on any spot on the map and your sub will proceed to that position.
Or use the keyboard to steer your sub: The steering controls are described in detail >>here<<.
Another option is to click on the sonar screen and then your sub will also proceed to the position you clicked on.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

What do the letters X, Y and Z in the upper left-hand corner mean?

    Answer:

These letters represent your current underwater coordinates. They show you the longitude, latitude and depth at which your sub is sailing. To the right of your coordinates is the sonar screen.

X = x-axis; it shows the longitude which runs East to West (left to right on the screen).

Y = y-axis; it shows the latitude which runs North to South (top to bottom on the screen).

    General questions about the game

    Question:

What are the floating capsules and items in the water?

    Answer:

These floating items are containers that hold valuable raw materials which you can sell at the stations. The contents of the containers vary: sometimes they’ll have lots of raw materials inside, and sometimes they’ll have next to nothing. Items such as Helix or credits for your Jackpot can also be found inside the containers.

    Question:

I can’t find any stations. / Where are all the stations?

    Answer:

The stations are spread out across the sea. The Fog-of-War effect prevents you from seeing all the stations, because you can’t see through the fog far enough to locate them.

Take your sub for a test drive through the ocean, and you’ll be amazed at how much there is to see. The further you go, there more you’ll discover. The stations are marked clearly on the map for you in color. The color of the station depends on the fraction it belongs to.

Above the head-up display (HUD) there is also a button entitled “Nearest station” to help guide you: Just click on it and your ship will automatically sail to the nearest station.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

Where can I drop off my sub’s cargo? And where can I sell these items?

    Answer:

All items which you have collected can be sold on board the underwater stations. It’s important to know, however, that not all items can be sold at all the stations. You’ll have to travel to different stations until you find the right one(s). Once you’ve found a station that will take your items, click on “Trade items”. A window will open where you can “Sell everything” if you wish to unload your cargo bay completely.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

There are other raw materials and items stored at the station. What can they be used for?

    Answer:

Raw materials that show up as trade commodities are meant only to be traded. You’ll see that not all raw materials can be bought or sold everywhere. Commodities can also be found in floating pieces of wreckage.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

    Is there any newbie protection?

    Answer:

Yes, there is newbie protection in this game, but here it’s called “cadet protection”. Players have cadet protection up until level 5, and therefore can’t be attacked by other players.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

Is there only one map at Deepolis?

    Answer:

Yes, there is only one map at Deepolis, but it’s an extremely large map. If there are a lot of users cruising around the map, the restricted zone, otherwise known as the death zone, will be activated to create extra maneuvering room.

    General questions about the game

    Question:

What are the clans good for?

    Answer:

The clans give you the chance to work together closely with other users of a fraction. You can hunt down enemies and fight against them with your fellow real-life players. Together it is easier for you to achieve glory and success and climb your way to the top as the best sub commander.
Of course, each clan also has a clan treasury: It’s all up to you, if you are a clan leader, to decide how much your clan members have to pay in taxes daily.

If one of your clan members is short on cash and can’t make a payment, then you can make a clan donation to a player to get them back on their feet quickly.

The clan mails and clan news keep all clan members up to date with the latest events.
Clans can give their clan members their own individual rights and can also assign them different missions and ranks.
There’s a whole lot to be discovered at Deepolis, so remember to also keep an eye out for new functions in the clan area.

    Questions about subs and equipment

    Question:

My sub was destroyed. What do I do now?

    Answer:

If your sub is blown to smithereens, just close the underwater map, go to the homepage and click on “Start” again. Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive a message that you can repair your sub. The first two classes of subs can be purchased and repaired for free.
All other classes of subs have to be repaired for Helix – the amount will vary depending on the repair level and class of sub you choose.
Premium users can get back in the game with one HP and without having to use any Helix: They just need to refresh the homepage and log into the game again.

    Questions about subs and equipment

    Question:

What does the button “Repair sub” in the head-up display/underwater map mean?

    Answer:

This button allows players to buy a specified amount of Cel (game currency) to accelerate the automatic repair of their sub by a certain percentage. Players have to keep their sub at a station until it is repaired. During this time they aren’t allowed to leave the safe zone.

    Questions about subs and equipment

    Question:

Why do some subs have the same price?

    Answer:

The subs are all equipped with different properties: At the merchant, click on the symbol of the sub on the left, and on the right-hand side a detailed overview of the sub properties will be shown. You can select a different sub for the same price to best fit your strategy for Deepolis.

    Questions about subs and equipment

    Question:

Why is it allowed to have more than one sub?

    Answer:

You can have a total of five subs in your fleet and equip each and every one of them. Depending on your mission, you can select the sub best suited to accomplish the task at hand.

    - For collecting flotsam, choose a sub with a large cargo bay.
    - For hunting NPCs or enemy vessels, select a sub with lots of room on board for cannons, etc.

Whether you choose a sub for collecting or for hunting down enemies, just remember that all subs have their pros and cons.
